An office assistant attached to Kaieteur News was this morning killed following a head on collision at Houston, Greater Georgetown.
The dead man has been identified as Harry Brijmohan, 26, of Perseverance, East Bank Demerara.
According to information received, at approximately 07:15hrs today, the young man- who was engaged to be married- was travelling along the East Bank highway on his motorcycle, CG5075 when he collided into a motor car, PPP7887 which was travelling in the opposite direction. He was reportedly heading home from work when the accident occurred.
Brijmoham sustained severe head injuries and was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
A police release earlier today explained that “due to the heavy congestion of vehicles in the morning peak hours, vehicles are allowed to proceed north on the western side of the eastern carriageway of the road. The deceased who was riding his motor cycle number CG 5075 south between the two lane of vehicles proceeding north and south respectively, lost control and collided with the right front of motor car PPP 7887 which was proceeding north.”
That police report of pure bullshit. Y’all need to have more common sense than that.
