The October 2016 session of the Demerara Criminal Assizes opened today, with 141 cases listed to be heard. Justice Bovell-Drakes, Justice Barlow and Justice Roxanne George-Wiltshire will preside during this session.
At the opening today, Honourable Justice Roxanne George-Wiltshire inspected the guard of honour and took the salute.
