Following revelations of his appointment as Company Secretary to the Amaila Falls Hydro Inc, Nigel Hughes today tendered his resignation as Chairman to the Alliance for Change (AFC).
Hughes stated that he has been secretary to the company since 2009, which he noted is a matter of public record.
He noted that the revelation of this information at this time was intended to create the impression that he was favouring his clients in deliberations with the AFC on the Amaila issue.
In a statement posted on his Facebook Page, Hughes said “As a result of this clear attempt to tarnish the name of the AFC and its publicly stated positions on the Amaila Falls Hydro Project, I have today offered my resignation as Chairman of the Alliance for Change”.
