Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the well known store, Chatram Persaud highlighted that it was part of the Company’s responsibility to give back to the people of Guyana and to help develop sport in the nation was a great way to do such.
Director of Sport, Neil Kumar who was on hand for the presentation praised Persaud and the store for the donation while revealing the benefit such a donation will have.
“These balls will do well to start our school programme as we want to focus on the interior regions as we look to develop the grass roots… we are very thankful for this donation,” Kumar stated at the simple handing over ceremony.
Kumar intends on holding several camps and school programmes to develop the game of football later this year.
