[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport has revealed that the National Sports Commission’s Board has been reappointed. The services of the previous Board came to an end in February 2014 and was reappointed in March.
The current Board members include CK Plummer in the chairman’s seat and the Ex-Officio Member is the Director of Sports, Neil Kumar. The other members of the Board include VidushiPersaud, Peter Green, Alicia Fortune, Sean Richmond, Peter Abdool, Frank De Abreu, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Steve Ninvalle, Hector Edwards, Pradeep Balram and Cheryl Thompson.
All of these members bring with them skills and knowledge about a range of sports and legal matters regarding sports this is important for the continued development and promotion of sports in Guyana.
The reappointment of this Board is consistent with the National Sports Commission Act of 1993. The life of this current Board will come to an end on February 28, 2016.
