[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana National Rugby Team won their seventh North American and Caribbean Rugby Association (NACRA) championship title on Thursday, December 04 when the final was contested in Mexico City.
The national side was able to roll over powerhouse Mexico for the second time in the tournament to win the championship with a final score of 33-28.
Debutant, Patrick King was in fine form scoring four touch downs to help his team capture the coveted trophy.
The win also made Guyana the only team to play undefeated during the 2014 tournament while reminding nations of their dominance after missing the tournament last year.
In addition, the win assures Guyana a place at the Pan American games which will help them get closer to qualifying for the 2016 Olympics.
