[www.inewsguyana.com] – A New Amsterdam man managed to scare of two of three bandits who broke into his home with on Saturday November 14 while armed with a cutlass.
Reports indicate that 38-year-old Nicolas Harrinandan was awaken sometime after 01:00hrs by strange sounds in his home.
Arming himself with a cutlass, the man went to investigate and came upon three bandits, one of whom was armed with a shotgun and another, a cutlass.
In the ensuing fracas, Harrinandan was chopped to his body but also managed to chop one of the assailants.
While two perpetrators proceeded to flee the scene another was trapped and later arrested.
That man has since been identified as 26-year-old Brian Dhanpat. iNews understands that Dhanpat donned a dreadlocks wig during the attack on Harrinandan.
In their haste to escape, the men dropped the shotgun which has been recovered by the police. Harrinandan has been admitted at the New Amsterdam Hospital along with Dhanphat who is under police guard.
Investigations are in progress.
I hope Dhanpat’s injury makes him incapable of teefin people property again.
Harrinandan should kill Danpat, then he would never thief again.
