[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Jagan Dental Center was officially commissioned on Tuesday evening (October 8) and boasts of advancing Guyana’s medical tourism.
With the attendance of several high ranking officials, including political opposition members and former President Bharrat Jagdeo, the center was commissioned by President Donald Ramotar.
The center will be headed Dr. Clive Jagan – a dentist with 36 years of experience. He is also the nephew of the late President, Dr. Cheddi Jagan.
The younger Jagan also has on board, his three sons who all studied dentistry in India.
Located at Lot 11 Lamaha and Light Streets, Georgetown, the center is equipped with specialised laser, implant, and cosmetic clinic which utilizes digital x-rays and intra-oral cameras and digital photography, and allows for expert evaluation and precise planning of any dental procedure.
There will be four dentists- Dr. Clive Jagan, and his three sons; Dr. Shane Jagan, Dr. Kyle Jagan, Dr. Ian Jagan, along with three dental assistants and one dental technician.
In brief remarks, President Ramotar said, “The Jagans took a page from government which has been advocating medical tourism”. The Head of State also congratulated the Jagan family for continuing a family tradition which began decades ago.
Dr Clive Jagan, who began practicing in 1977, intends for the state – of – the – art facility to be a “One Stop Shop” for all dental needs.
According to Dr. Jagan, “I want to encourage all Guyanese and those in the diaspora to take advantage of the price difference”.
He explained that the aim is to revolutionise dental care in Guyana.
