[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police have arrested a motorist after he was found with an unlicensed .38 revolver and several rounds of ammunition in Georgetown on Monday.
According to a police statement, at approximately 02:00 hrs the motorist was stopped by traffic ranks on Thomas Street but drove away as the police approached him.
Police stated that the man was later intercepted by ranks of a mobile police patrol and a search of his vehicle unearthed an unlicensed .38 revolver with 6 matching rounds, four (4) 9mm. rounds and two (2) .32 rounds.
He is in police custody and charges will be made shortly.
