A 28-year-old man has been hospitalised after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a motor car on the Adelphi Public Road, East Canje, Corentyne on Wednesday afternoon.
The injured man has been identified as Mario Causway of Adelphi, East Canje, Corentyne.
Based on reports received, the accident occurred around 16:30hrs yesterday as Causway was traveling north on the public road on his motorcycle. The vehicle reportedly came out of a street and turned into the path of the motorcycle, causing the collision.
The 28-year-old was flung several feet away. Public spirited persons reportedly rushed the visibly injured man to the New Amsterdam Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
The driver of the motor car was detained and is assisting with investigations.
