Police say they are investigating a fatal accident which occurred about 01:00hr today on the McDoom Public Road, East Bank Demerara, which resulted in the death of Troy Cordwell of lot 1 Durban and Louisa Row, Georgetown.
According to reports, Cordwell, 40, was proceeding north along the western carriageway on his motor cycle CD 3069 allegedly at a fast rate and whilst in the vicinity of Pestex Environmental Solutions, he lost control and crashed into motor vehicle GSS 1066 which was stationary on the said western carriageway.He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, and shortly after, was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body is presently at the hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
