Relatives of a 44-year-old woman are calling for persons in the public domain to assist them in locating the mother of eight after she went missing almost two weeks ago.
Cordy Darrel, of Canal Number One, West Bank Demerara was last seen by her children on September 30, 2017, after she left home to visit her mother in Diamond, East Bank Demerara.
“I didn’t know when she left home. I come home from the farm and the children seh she gone by she mother in Diamond,” Shelton Davis, the woman’s husband told INews.
He noted that after some time had passed, he telephoned his mother-in-law to enquire about the whereabouts of his wife. However, he was informed that she had already left the woman’s house.
The audibly distressed husband explained to this online publication that his wife had never disappeared for so long before, while noting that the two were not involved in any domestic disputes.
Davis further explained that he waited for two days before filing a missing person’s report at the La Grange Police Station, as he hoped she would return home.
The married couple have been together for 31 years and have eight children –ages 19 to 9- together.
Anyone with information leading to the whereabouts of the mother is asked to contact the nearest police station or her husband at 625-0491.
