A mother of 3 was on Tuesday morning rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital after being run over reportedly by a speeding car on the Success Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
Listed as critical is 52-year-old Pulmattie Ramotar of, Sixth Street Success, ECD. According to information reaching this publication, the woman met with the accident at around 8:00hrs, while on her way to the Mon Repos Market.
Reports revealed that the pedestrian was making her way over the roadway when the vehicle collided with her.
An unconscious Ramotar was subsequently transported to the Georgetown medical facility where she remains in an unconscious state.
Meanwhile, the driver of the reportedly speeding car was taken into police custody.
An investigation has since been launched.
