Security at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport [CJIA] will be further boosted with the installation of more close circuit television cameras and related equipment.
Secretary to the Cabinet Dr. Roger Luncheon today revealed that Cabinet offered no objections to a $54.81M contract for the purchase of these items.
Meanwhile a call to the CJIA Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Ghir confirmed that the purchase forms part of the security upgrade at the facility.
