[www.inewsguyana.com] – The body of a man was found today (Tuesday, June 10) at the Canje Creek shore in Canje Berbice.
He was later identified as 57 – year – old Krisendat Madramootoo of Gangaram, Canje. According to information received, the man went missing on Sunday last after he left for work and never returned home.
During a search exercise, the body was discovered by relatives clad in his underwear and bore no visible marks of violence. During an interview with the man’s wife, she disclosed that he is the sole bread winner of the family and was a quiet person.
She said the family is of the view that the man went for a swim and was also probably under the influence of alcohol. Investigations are ongoing.
