[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Miss World Guyana (MWG) contestants Kelly-Ann Latchman and Jovan Wilson, selected to represent Region 7 – Cuyuni Mazaruni and Region 10 -Upper Demerara-Berbice, as Regional Beauty and Goodwill Ambassadors have withdrawn from participating.
This is according to Public Relations Officer of the MWG Committee, Colette Hytmiah who thanked both women for their participation.
Hytmiah did not state in her press statement the reasons for the withdrawal of the women and efforts to make contact with her by iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) proved futile.
The Miss World Guyana pageant, slated for Independence Day – May 26th, is a platform to enable personal and professional growth of contestants in addition to the promotion of community service, beauty, fitness and talent. Participation in the pageant affords young women the opportunity to raise awareness on issues and causes affecting their communities as they serve as Regional Beauty & Goodwill Ambassadors of our great nation.
