[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty – eight – year old Jermaine Barrow succumbed to a gunshot wound he received to the back during an attempted robbery on December 15.
The Guyana Police Force confirmed that Barrow of Sparendaam, East Coast Demerara died at the Georgetown Public Hospital on December 19.
iNews had reported that at about 22:00 hrs on Tuesday December 15, 2015, a mini-bus driven by Barrow was stopped by a man along the Railway Embankment at Liliendaal, ECD.
The man pulled out a firearm as he entering the vehicle, while another man approached the driver. iNews understands that at this point, Barrow accelerated the vehicle and drove away during which the armed man discharged a round which struck him to his back.
