[www.inewsguyana.com] – According to Police at about 22:00hrs last night (Sunday December 8), 38 – year – old Francis Mc Pherson of Lime Street, Georgetown and 30 – year – old Eon Bourne of Port Kaituma, North West District held up at gun point and robbed.
Reports indicate that the duo was travelling on an ATV along the trail at Hymakuru Backdam, Port Kaituma, when they were held up by two men armed with handguns.
During the encounter, Bourne was shot and injured to his right thigh by the perpetrators who took away a quantity of gold and escaped. Investigations are in progress.
