[www.inewsguyana.com] – The main suspect in the murder of Brazilian national, Jose Oliveira Silva appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, December 16, 2015.
Michael Mellville, a miner of Waramadong, Cuyuni- Mazaruni, was not required to plead to the indictable offense, which alleged that between December 2 and December 5 at Arau, Wenamu River, he murdered Jose Oliveira Silva.
The miner was remanded to prison and the matter was transferred to the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court for March 21, 2016.
