Komal Khan of Lot 171 Triumph, East Coast Demerara denied the charge which alleged that on March 01 at Laing Avenue, Georgetown, being in the company of others, he robbed Parmanand Rabindranauth of a Cellular Phone valued $4,000 and $7,000 cash.
The charge, which was read by Police Prosecutor Bharat Mangru, also alleged that Khan used personal violence during the commission of the crime.
According to Mangru, both parties are known to each other and on the day in question, Khan along with three others went to Laing Avenue where they proceeded to commit the crime.
The matter is scheduled to be called again on March 24 before Magistrate Annette Singh.
