[www.inewsguyana.com] – Llewellyn Gardner and Lindon Harrison ran away with their respective masters’ categories on Sunday at the Suriname Marathon.
Gardner finished in first in the 50 and over age category with a time of four hours, seven minutes 19s while Harrison ran away with the 40-50 age category in a time of three hours, 52 minutes 22second. Harrison finished ninth overall while Gardner finished 10th.
Gardner thanked the Director of Sport Neil Kumar, long time distance Coach Leslie Black Ricks and Sari as well as Carmel Lobe of Wild Life for their contributions to the venture.
Harrison also made it his duty to thank S&L Electrical, Prime Electirical and Real Value Supermarket for their role in his success.
Meanwhile the next event for both athletes will be 5k event being sponsored by Real Value Supermarket on December 7 in the National Park from 16:00h.
