[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 24 – year – old mason facing a fraudulent convergent charge was placed on $75,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
Quincy Smith of Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara, pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that between September 1 and 30, 2013 at Georgetown, being solely entrusted by Terry Anderson, owner of Fazia’s Collection, with the sum of $300,000 in order for him to deliver same to Collin Changur of Muneshwer Travel Agency, he fraudulently converted to his own use and benefits.
The matter was transferred before Magistrate Geeta Chandan-Edmond and will call again on July 18.
