A resident of Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara was last night shot and robbed of his motor cycle and $3,000 in cash, by two males, one of whom was armed with a handgun, just as he left his girlfriend’s home in neighbouring ‘B’ Field Sophia.
Police, in a statement, said its enquiries disclosed that at about 21:50hrs last night, the victim was in the process of moving off with his motor cycle after visiting his female friend when the bandits pounced and relieved him of his property and escaped but not before shooting him on his left foot.He was rushed to the GPHC where he was treated and sent away. No arrests have yet been made.
