[www.inewsguyana.com] – Mark Creame was remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry or the unlawful killing of a Pork Knocker.
The accused was not required to plead to the indictable charge which alleged that on December 1, at 8 Miles in the North West Magisterial District, he murdered 42-year-old Terrence Henry.
Police prosecutor, Bharat Mangru told the Court that on September 1, the suspect saw the deceased at 8 Miles in the North West District, where he was consuming alcohol. He subsequently contacted the deceased in a fit of vexation for a previous incident.
The deceased then proceeded to his hammock at a camp, when the accused came up to him armed with a cutlass and dealt several chops to his body resulting in his death.
The matter was transferred to Matthews Ridge Magistrate’s court for February 3.
