A man was today placed on $25,000 bail which was later withdrawn and he was remanded to prison when he appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore on a Threatening Language charge.
Thirty – nine – old Mark Mclean of South Ruimveldt Housing Scheme pleaded not guilty to the offence which he allegedly committed against his children mother Alicia Moses.
The court was told that on August 20 in Georgetown he threatened to kill the woman. The magistrate granted Mclean bail in the sum of $25,000, However Alicia Moses was unhappy with the Magistrate’s decision noting that she is fearful for her life and produced the court with a restraining order which she had secure against the accused.
Based on the information presented, the Magistrate remanded Mclean until September 18.[Royan Abrams]
