Nathan Heyliger was granted $600,000 bail for causing the death of Kuru Kuru resident, Carl Dundas, when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
Heyliger pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on September 11, 2016, he drove a car bearing registration plate PVV 1650 in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of Dundas.
The defendant’s Attorney, James Bond, made an application for reduction of bail claiming his client is not financially stable at the moment but it was denied by Chief Magistrate McLennan who noted that the bail is low enough.
The defendant is scheduled to make his next court appearance on October 18 for statements.
