Lloyd Singh, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Pharmaceutical Agency (IPA) and a known financier of the Alliance For Change (AFC), who reportedly supplied the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) with unregistered drugs appeared today (Monday) before City Magistrate, Judy Latchman for the offence.

Singh, 51, of Lot 257 Seaford Street, Campbellville, Georgetown,  denied that he, on August 12 2017 at Lot 226 “B” Camp Street, Georgetown, supplied the unregistered drug Rituximab 100mg to the Georgetown Public Hospital which was in violation of the food and drugs regulations part 3 section 28 of 1977.

He also committed the same offence on Oct 23 2017 at the said location.

His Attorney asked that his client be released on his own recognisance as the charge against him is bogus.

However, Latchman granted the defendant bail in the sum of $60,000. He is expected to return to Court on July 27 2018 for fixture.
