[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Police Force has revealed that 30 – year – old Danish Mohan Roo attempted to hang himself on Wednesday, April 22, while at the lock – ups at the Anna Regina Police Station.
A police report noted that the incident occurred at approximately 01:50 hrs and other prisoners in the lock-ups alerted the police in relation to the incident.
It was noted that Roo, of Sparta, Essequibo Coast, received injuries during the failed attempt and was taken to the Suddie Hospital where he has been admitted and is under guard.
Police stated that he was scheduled to appear at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court today.
