[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police in ‘A’ Division have arrested a man after he admitted to seeing his wife lying in close proximity to the Demerara River but failed to offer her any assistance on Sunday, November 08, 2015.
According to information reaching iNews, the man told the police that on Sunday morning, he passed in the vicinity of Sea Dam Herstelling, East Bank Demerara and saw Pamela Motee, but refused assist her since it is customary for her to be lying about the place.
However, police sources have reported to iNews that the man was arrested following reports that he was also very abusive to the woman. The police confirmed that they have noticed what appear to be marks of violence on Motee’s body and are awaiting the results of a post mortem to determine the cause of death.
Both the man and the woman, who lived alone are said to be alcoholics.
