[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 45 –year – old scrap iron dealer was remanded to prison by Magistrate Judy Latchman on a drug trafficking charge.
Keith Tuesday pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on March 06, at Alexander Street, Georgetown, he had in his possession 2.3 grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Police Prosecutor Renetta Bentham told the Court that the cocaine was found in a plate which Tuesday possessed and that he was selling it at the time he was caught.
The Prosecutor objected to bail based on the grounds of the nature of the offence, seriousness and penalty attached. Bail was refused and the matter was postponed to March 12.
