[www.inewsguyana.com] – Fifty – Two – year old Glenton Allicock of Highway Boulevard, Linden was placed on $20,000 bail for allegedly using threatening language towards his wife.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge, which stated that on August 28 at Central Amelia’s Ward Linden, he made use of threatening language to Carmen Rodrigues, whereby a breach of the peace may be occasioned.
Police Prosecutor Dinero Jones told the Court that on the day in question, the couple had an argument over a cellular phone and after he threatened her, the victim became fearful and reported the matter to the Police.
Rodrigues said that her husband is always in the habit of threatening her and she does not wish to continue the relationship with him.
Allicock was bonded to keep the peace, pending the outcome of the matter and to stay 50 feet away from the victim.
The case was transferred to the Vreed-En-Hoop Magistrate’s Court for September 19.
