A man was on Friday placed before the Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts after he stabbed an alleged goat thief.

Twenty-nine-year-old Curt Mingo denied the allegation that he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Lawrence Viveros, an alleged goat thief.

Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones told the court that Mingo went to the home of the Virtual Complainant (VC), Viveros and confronted him about one of his missing goats, which he accused the complainant of killing. According to the Prosecutor, the argument became physical after the accused whipped out a knife and stabbed Viveros to his shoulder. A report was made to the Police and the accused was arrested and charged. There were no objections to bail, which was granted in the sum of $15,000. The case will continue on January 20.
