The man who was fingered in the murder of Gafoor’s manager at his Hesrstelling, East Bank Demerara, home appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court where he was placed on remand.
David Outar, 24, was not allowed to plead to the indictable charge which alleged that on July 21, 2016 at Herstelling, East Bank Demerara, he murdered Terry Lackhan during the course of a robbery.
He will make his next court appearance on August 23.
It was reported that Lackhan, 55, was discovered by a neighbour shortly after a male was seen exiting his home with several bags.
The man was found motionless next to a wardrobe with a length of rope tied around his neck, while several bottles of tablets and photographs of his family lay nearby.
