Students of the Mae’s Schools Annex on Thursday raised their voices against social issues plaguing society through a Mashramani walk around the city.
Commencing from Middleton Street, Campbellville, the parade continued through several streets until they were back in school where other activities were lined up.
Dressed in colourful costumes to depict the Mashramani festivities, the students paraded with banners bearing slogans, which condemned acts of racism and child abuse among others.
Director of the School, Simone Nurse said the activity was done to inform the public that the school recognises these issues and are committed to eliminating them.
