[www.inewsguyana.com] – Tucville’s Tasnica Lovell was outstanding on day one of the Distriict 13/South Zone Inter School Championship today, Tuesday, October 21 at the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) ground, Camp Ayanganna,
Lovell registered wins in the long and triple jumps of the girl’s under-20 category with leaps of 5.20 and 10.07 metres respectively as South starts their preparation for the National School Championship.
Day one of the games saw only field events being held with South Ruimveldt Secondary ending on top with 233 points.
Lodge Secondary was in second with 193 points while North Ruimveldt was in third with 179 points. Tucville Secondary was left in fourth while Central High School and Dolphin Secondary rounded out the top five tied on 131 points.
Lovell is also expected to run away with the sprints when day two is held on Wednesday at the said venue.
