[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty – six – year old Karen Fisher, of Thomas Street, Georgetown, was today placed on $20,000 bail by Magistrate Ann McLennan on a wounding charge.
She pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that on December 05 at Church and Thomas Street, Georgetown she unlawfully and maliciously wounded Melanie Gittens.
Gittens, 44, of Non Pariel was also charged and pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that on December 05 she made use of threatening language towards Fisher, where a breach of the peace may be occasioned.
The Court heard that Gittens is a vendor and a mother of five children.
Police Prosecutor Dinero Jones did not object to bail for either of the women. He informed the court that both women share a relationship with the same man.
Gittens was also ordered to post $20,000 bail and both women were bonded to keep the peace until January 05.
