[www.inewsguyana.com] – Investigations are being conducted into the murder of Troy Brutus, 37 years, of Castello Housing Scheme, Georgetown, which occurred at about 19:30 hrs on Monday November 23, 2015, at Garnett Street, Albouystown.
Police investigations have revealed that Brutus, who was armed with a cutlass and a knife, attacked a man at Garnett Street and chopped him to his hand and face.
A police report detailed that the man, however, managed to take away the knife from Brutus and stabbed him about his body. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The suspect has been arrested and has admitted to the GPHC where he is under police guard.
iNews understands that the duo fought over a woman. Reports indicate that Brutus had a relationship with the woman at the centre of the dispute, but then they broke up and the suspect and the woman started a relationship.
But she alleged that Brutus had suggested that the relationship between him and the woman had never ended.
