Make-up artist Lolita Callendar was on Monday granted bail after she appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court to answer an assault charge.
She pleaded not guilty to assaulting Malika Holder.
“Lola” as she is popularly known was granted bail in the sum of $30, 000.
However, she was taken back into custody by the police who are still probing an allegation that she harboured her Guyanese American fugitive boyfriend, Troy Thomas.
Police related that it is likely that she could face additional charges in that respect today.
She was arrested on Wednesday morning along with her boyfriend during a police operation at the man’s Lilliendaal home.
