[www.inewsguyana.com] – The recently founded Little Divas Football Club will resume training following a break for the Christmas Holidays.
The sessions will resume this weekend (Saturday January 11) at the Georgetown Football Club Ground from 06: 30. They are in training for an encounter against the Monedderlust Football Club as a season opener for 2014.
That game is billed for Sunday January 26, 2014 and will take place on the West Coast Berbice at #5 Village.
In early March, there is a proposed Football U19 Tournament involving Berbice, Linden, Buxton, West Demerara, Eagles FC of Georgetown, Monedderlust FC and Little DIVA Flames FC.
The participation of Bartica, Lethem and Kamarang teams are also being considered. Plans are also on stream to take the team to Lethem during the Easter Period to participate in an Annual Football Tournament held during Rodeo.
The Club has already been invited and has accepted the invitation in principle.
The team, founded on September 15, 2013 and has a membership of 28 persons has the main objective of creating a safe and friendly environment for young females who are interested in football and to harness their skill and develop them.
