[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Little DIVA Flames Female Football Club avenged their loss last month when the defeated Monedderlust Female Football Club by two goals to NIL recently at the Georgetown Football Club Ground.
The first game was played at the #5 Ground, West Berbice last month and saw the Georgetown based side lose 5 goals to NIL.
In this try however, they were successful through National U17 player – Althea Holligan in the 19th and 39th min.
Playing with 8 players, the Berbicians put up a good fight but they were outnumbered and out muscled by the Georgetown based girls.
A third game is in the making very soon. Meanwhile, the DIVAS have stepped up their training as they prepare to travel to Lethem, Rupununi during the Easter Period to participate in a tournament in the Brazil border town.
Training will continue on Saturday and Thursday at the GFC Ground.
