A majority of the major businesses in the mining town of Linden, Region Ten ( (Upper Demerara- Berbice) closed their doors on Monday, in protest of the Government’s vaccination policy.
The protest was organised by residents and the Region’s leaders. 
Many of the businesses in central Mackenzie and the Wismar Municipal Market area – which are considered the community’s major business locations – were closed with the exception of a handful of establishments.
