[www.inewsguyana.com] – A man identified as Floyd Hollingsworth was this morning found hanging from a tree in Victory Valley, Wismar, Linden.
Several persons were called to the scene, early this morning, after the discovery but failed initially to identify the man who was clothed in work attire.
Reliable police sources confirmed with iNews that the man may have hung himself. He reportedly chopped his wife, Melissa McLennon about her body at the weekend during an altercation at a Disco “Fox” and went into hiding since after being sought for by police.
Sources say the woman had taken out a restraining order against the man who had become violent against her. iNews was told that the man saw the woman out with friends at the Disco and left and returned with a cutlass and began to chop her about the body.
An eyewitness believes the man may have been dead for some time now since his body had begun to swell and was stiff.
The man’s wife is reportedly still a patient at the Mackenzie Hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.
It is believed that the man may have thought he killed the woman.
