[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police have confirmed that the Lima Sands, Essequibo woman, Hemwantie Annriude died of asphyxia due to compression of the neck.
According to reports, the 37 – year – old woman was found in an unconscious state by her husband on Saturday, February 14. He told detectives that his wife had been vomiting blood and that she slept but did not wake up.
Reports also indicate that both Annriude and her husband were known alcoholics in the Lima Sands area and frequently argued after they would have consumed alcohol.
The woman’s husband has been in police custody since her body was found.
