[www.inewsguyana.com] – A resident of Lethem, Central Rupununi, was ordered to post $100,000 bail after pleading not guilty to a wounding charge before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
The charge against Shawn Meyers stated that on January 20 at Tabachinga Drive, Lethem, he inflicted grievous bodily harm to Dexter Mentore, with intent maim, disfigure or cause harm.
The court heard that Meyers stabbed Mentore several times. Meyers was unrepresented and will make his next court appearance at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court on June 30.
