Lennox Cornette has been chosen as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Communications Network (NCN).
In justifying the decision, the company’s Chairman, Bishwa Panday, said that Cornette emerged as the best candidate based on his diverse communication, financial and executive management background.
INews understands that Cornette’s most recent position was that of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Jaling Forest Industries Inc. He also previously served as Public Relations Officer of the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company Ltd.
In January this year, Molly Hassan, tendered her resignation as CEO of the State media entity. Immediately following this, the Board of Directors began the process of reviewing the strategic direction, operations and conditions at company and had also embarked on a revitalisation project.
