[www.inewsguyana.com] – The first bit of action tipped off in the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association’s (GABA) “King of the hard court” competition on Wednesday at the Burnham Hard Court with National Club Champions, Trinity Grid Holding Pacesetters tearing into the Melanie Patriots 103-70.
Five payers ended the night in double figures for Pacesetters with Travis Burnett and Stephan Gillis leading the way with 21 points each. Jermain Hamilton scored 14 points while Keith Tute and Michael Turner had 12 and 11 points respectively.
Meanwhile, Sherlon Legall was the only player to hit double digits scoring for the Patriots with a game high 30 points in the loss.
In under-23 action Colts got and easy win against the Knights via a walkover.
Games in the tournament are expected to continue on Friday evening from 18:00h with three games.
