[www.inewsguyana.com] – The mother of baby ‘Avi’ who was kidnapped at just 9 – days – old is furious after the alleged female kidnapper, Baitoon Hussain was released on $300,000 bail last Thursday when she appeared in the High Court.
Speaking to iNews today (July, 08), a shocked Sandra Mclean says she was unaware of this development; adding that at the previous Court appearance (June 30), bail was refused by Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh for the third time.
Forty seven – year – old Baitoon Hussain called Debbie of Mahdia was released from custody, even after the State Prosecutor objected to bail. She is now required to report to the Whim Police station every Monday.
Meanwhile, Mclean told iNews during the kidnapper’s last Court appearance, she wailed uncontrollably to garner sympathy. She said those gathered at the Court were nonetheless unsympathetic towards her.
The mother also said her son is doing extremely well physically and emotionally. She also claimed that the Mother – in – Law of Hussain visited her home and offered her money to settle the matter. McLean insists that justice must be served.
Baby ‘Avi’ was kidnapped at just 9 – days – old at the Port Mourant Market by Hussain who went by the name of Bibi Khan.Fortunately the woman was caught on a surveillance camera and her photograph assisted the public and police in identifying and locating her.
Police acted on a tip off and found the woman and baby at a house in Albion, Corentyne several days later.
