At the simple handing over ceremony on Wednesday, February 26 Proprietor of the store, Noel ‘Rupee’ Shewjattan highlighted his pleasure in being onboard with the tournament yet again.
Shewjattan also revealed plans for the next year’s MVP, the same prize he is sponsoring for this year’s tournament.
“I think a car will add more excitement to the tournament and when you think of it, a lot of these players can’t really go out and buy one and I would be happy to actually make that happen. So next year, if the Government can help with regards to the duty, I will commit to giving the MVP that car,” Shewjattan stated.
Auto Fashion now joins a long list of sponsors that have cone onboard with the tournament for its 25th edition. The winner of the tournament will receive $2 million while second place will bag $1 million; third and fourth will receive $500,000 and $250,000 respectively.
