Jamaica’s Yona Knight-Wisdom says he is still in shock of his historic performances at the FINA Diving World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Knight-Wisdom, competing against a world-class line up, became the first Jamaican male diver to qualify for the Olympics, after he scored 397 in the three-metre springboard dive in the preliminaries.
But the 20-year-old made an even bigger splash in the finals to claim silver, which was the island’s first-ever World Champs diving medal. (Jamaica Observer)
