The People’s Progressive Party/ Civic (PPP/C) has promised to continue advocating for the return of benefits to Old Age Pensioners, including the water and electricity subsidies that were cut when the APNU/AFC coalition took office by a razor thin majority in the May 2015 General and Regional Elections.
In reflecting on the past year and the direction the party intends to take in 2016, Opposition Leader Dr Bharrat Jagdeo said the PPP intends to work very diligently in ensuring that these benefits are restored to this vulnerable group.
The Opposition Leader also promised to work feverishly to ease the burdens on rice farmers, sugar workers, gold miners and other categories of workers in the months ahead.
Meanwhile, Jagdeo disclosed that his party will make every effort in 2016 to realistically achieve the reduction of the Value Added Tax (VAT). “We are going to support the Government in implementing all of its manifesto promises,” Jagdeo told members of the media on Thursday.
The dictators flooding the PSM with incompetent ,useless ppl of their kind they either go with the flow or get pushed around instead of getting rid of them…PNCites.
This is one of the things I can gave credit to what Jagdeo is saying , the APNU /AFC should return the pensioners benefits to what they were having. They should even get an increase. Based on cost of living.

PNC ruling the roost again and once PNC rule then PNC do as they pleased to enhance the pockets of lets say the top 50 PNCites.
PNC immediately took away school children 10,000 benefits and PNC supporters did not take to the streets.
PNC took away old age benefits and PNC supporters never took to the streets.
PNC supporters now become like PPP supporters whom dont take to the streets to fight for their rights.
Just take a look at the full parliament and you will see why PNC grabbing all they can get while throwing a few bucks on the ones that PNC wont give the time of day to.
The handful of none PNCites in parliament have no say even thought some dough being tossed at them.

Uncle Raphael, Namakharam Moses, Harmon as well as others of the new parasitic clique the chief defenders of the shameful and disgraceful increase in salaries for these blood suckers have no shame. They get free electricity among other benefits when added will be enough to subsidise the cost of more than a dozen pensioners for a whole year for their electricity and water rates. Now that’s rough and very conversative estimates but the number of pensioners could be by far way beyond that. But no; pensioners, according to this administration, must pay their full cost of water and electricity bills while they can use as much as they want without worrying about their bills. Lindeners pay peanuts for theirs.Guess according to George Orwell in his Animal Farm story, everyone is equal but some are more equal than others. Shame on this APNU/ AFC administtration. Shame on you Granger!
